Data Access, Inc (DAI) was started by Russ Shumate in 1995 to meet the needs of the many companies in the Charlotte area needing database services using Microsoft Access. We have since grown to have a global reach with clients in all fifty States and as far away as Moscow, Ukraine, and England.

As a user of MS Access since its inception, Russ Shumate has become known as one of the top developers in the country. His applications receive rave reviews by both his clients and peers. Some users, through the use of his applications, have even won national recognition.

Services offered by DAI have also expanded based on client demand. We have created client solutions using Visual Basic, SQL Server, ASP, Java, and other technologies. DAI has added a network department and maintains all aspects of Information Technology for our clients from cable design and installation to hardware acquisition and maintenance.

In recent years, Web development has played an increasing role in our skill set. With an emphasis on "data driven" web solutions, DAI is quickly becoming a major player in databased centered websites.
